Odair Aparecido Fernandes
Agronomic Engineer (FCAV/UNESP, Jaboticabalç 1983), Master’s in Biological Sciences – Entomology (FFCLRP/USP;1987) and PhD in Entomology (University of Nebraska; 1995). He is currently a professor at FCAV/UNESP, Jaboticabal, in Agronomic Engineering and Biological Sciences; advisor of the graduate programs in Agronomy (Agricultural Entomology, FCAV/UNESP) and Entomology (USP, Ribeirão Preto); Visiting Professor at the Department of Entomology, University of Nebraska. He has experience on Agricultural Entomology. His main areas of research involve Applied Insect Ecology with an emphasis on understanding their natural factors of population regulation and insect-plant interactions for the improvement of biological control programs and integrated pest management in agroecosystems.
