Danilo Boscolo

Danilo Boscolo is a Professor of Ecology at the University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto Campus, Brazil. He has over twenty years of experience working in Landscape Ecology, Habitat Fragmentation, Ecological Modeling and Conservation Biology. His main research interest are driven to understanding the relationship between landscape structure and biodiversity in general and, more recently, on the interaction between landscapes and the structure of plant-floral visitor interaction networks and the provision of key Ecosystem Services, such as Pollination, Pest Control and Seed Dispersal. His focus is on acquiring knowledge that can be used to better manage Multi-functional landscapes where biological conservation is harmonized with human endeavors. He currently occupies the presidency of Iale-BR (since 2010), the Brazilian chapter of the International Association of Landscape Ecology (Iale) and is the Chairman of the Board of Iale International since 2019.
