THE PROJECT

A solutions-focused working group

BIOTA SYNTHESIS is composed of four thematic synthesis groups and a policy co-production group, each of which brings together researchers and professionals from research institutions, the government and NGOs.

The focus of the studies is on challenges related to sustainable agriculture, water security, control of zoonoses, and the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases and mental disorders common in cities.

WHAT WE DO

The main challenges our team tackles

The group works on two main missions (fostering sustainability in rural and urban areas), four thematic challenges (pollination, restoration and forest-based economy, regulation of zoonotic diseases and prevention of chronic non-communicable and mental diseases in cities), a major challenge (climate change) and a transversal challenge (policy co-production).
