Humberto Ribeiro da Rocha
Professor at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences IAG / University of Sao Paulo USP since 1994. His research area is Hydroclimatology and Ecoclimatology, with emphasys in the water and energy cycles of land ecosystems, the dependence on the climate variability and change, and the influence on urban and regional climate. Coordinator of the Climate and Biosphere Lab at IAG/Usp, working on field experimental sites in Amazonia, Cerrado and Atlantic Forest, and in urban studies, and with numerical modelling of the atmosphere, hydrology and plant productivity. He is eager to know how physical and non-physical ecosystem services help humans to live better on Earth.
