Luis Filipe Mucci
Luis Filipe Mucci has experience in the epidemiology and ecology of arthropod-borne diseases in the Neotropics. He has a special interest in malaria, arboviruses and leishmaniases vectors (Diptera), developing research in sylvatic and urban areas on diversity, microenvironment gradients, feeding behavior and infectivity of mosquitoes and sandflies. Some contributions are also directed to studies of geographic distribution of vectors and vertebrate hosts, landscape ecology and ecological modelling applied to epidemiology. He has been working in scientific and technical support to managers and analysts of state and municipal health departments. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a PhD in Epidemiology. He is currently a Scientific Researcher at the Superintendence for the Control of Endemic Diseases, State Department of Health, SP, Brazil.
