Alexandre Toshiro Igari

Alexandre Igari is professor, researcher and supervisor in the Post-graduate Program in Sustainability (PPgSus) and in the Environmental Management graduate course at School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (EACH – USP). He achieved his PhD in Ecology at Biosciences Institute of the University of São Paulo (IB-USP), and he got degree in Biological Sciences at IB-USP in 2005, and in Business Management at FEA-USP in 1995. His main research interests are land use change and the processes of institutional change (changes in social norms and rules, both formal and informal), under the theoretical perspectives of Ecological Economics and the Governance of Commons.
