Rafael Morais Chiaravalloti
Rafael Morais Chiaravalloti is a Research Fellow from Imperial College London and a Research Associate with IPE – Institute of Ecological Research. Rafael has long experience with socio-ecological systems and have been working in the interface of natural and social for over 10 years. Most of his experiences is on the Pantanal wetland, however, he also works with comparative analysis with other systems in the global south. His work is focused on evaluating how different communities deal with uncertainty, bringing novel perspectives to sustainability science and practice. Rafael also works in the interface of science and policy, and he has played key roles on the development of several environmental policies in the Pantanal.
