Paulo Guilherme Molin

Paulo Guilherme Molin is a professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Center for Nature Sciences. He is also a collaborating professor at the Graduate Program in Planning and Use of Renewable Resources (PPGPUR) at UFSCar Sorocaba and at the Forest Resources Program (PPGRF) at ESALQ/USP. He has been working with landscape modelling, creating scenarios of forest restoration, linking the potential of natural regeneration, native vegetation protection law, ecosystem services, climate change and cost-effective restoration approaches. More recently, has also explored remote sensing techniques, both orbital and drone-based, for forest restoration monitoring. His research is applied to solve or mitigate environmental problems, quantifying ecosystem services and benefits for man and nature.
